10 great things to see in Las Vegas

#1 Visiting Hotels on the Strip

The hotels in Las Vegas all have something special. For example, you can see an Eiffel Tower at hotel Paris, lifelike flamingos at the Flamingo hotel, the Statue of Liberty and a roller coaster at hotel New York New York, canals with gondolas just like in Venice at hotel The Venetian and not to forget the magical fountain show at hotel Bellagio (see #3).

#2 Gambling at the casino

You can take a gamble at one of the many casinos. Las Vegas is teeming with casinos. Almost every hotel you walk into has a large casino in the lobby, and just walking through there and having a look is a special experience.

Note that only 21 and older are allowed to gamble, so don’t forget your identification and if you are under 21, you can’t participate in this.
Note that gambling can be addictive, so stop in time! Take a certain amount of cash in advance and don’t spend more than that. It should remain a fun experience and who knows, you might win something, but it’s better to assume that you lost everything and had fun playing the game.

#3 The fountain show at Bellagio

In front of the building of the hotel Bellagio you will see impressive fountains that can spray up to 147 meters high. With lights and music, the fountains squirt the water up like their own choreography and each time there is different music. Depending on the day of the week, you can watch these fountains “perform” every 15 or 30 minutes. It’s a must-see in Las Vegas! You can view these fountains outside for free.

#4 Fremont Street

Visit old Las Vegas, the place where Las Vegas once originated. This is especially a fun place to visit at night. There are large LED screens here showing (light) shows and performances. From 18:00 to 01:00 you can watch a show on the screens for 6 minutes every hour here. There are many buskers and you can also zipline 20 meters down Fremont Street!

#5 Las Vegas Sign

On the south side of the Strip, you can spot the world-famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, and taking a picture here is definitely a must! The sign itself and its surroundings are not that much, but it is definitely a popular spot, so a must-visit! Go as early as possible to avoid crowds or stand on the side of the road to take a picture if you don’t want to wait long.
