Below we tell you more about our overnight stay on Ameland.
Where to stay on Ameland?
What does Fletcher Hotel Amelander Kaap have to offer?
This hotel offers several rooms & apartments. We stayed in a double room comfort with a bath. Comfortable it certainly was, as it was a very spacious and clean room with lovely beds for a good night’s sleep. The modern amenities make for a pleasant stay.
We started our day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. There was a wide choice with different breads and spreads, juices, coffee & tea, yogurt and some hot dishes like american pancakes, eggs and bacon. The hotel houses a restaurant where you can enjoy not only an extensive breakfast buffet, but also lunch, dinner or late night snack. There is also a hotel bar and terrace to enjoy your favorite drink.
Surroundings of Fletcher Hotel Amelander Kaap
The hotel is located on Ameland in the village of Hollum close to the coast and the famous lighthouse of Ameland. Hollum is a cozy village with a rich past where many historic houses can still be found.
Furthermore, we went to Nes which is a nice place with several local stores and restaurants. We also went on a boat to sail to the sandbanks and spot seals. On the deck we enjoyed the sea air and views of the beautiful Wadden Sea. In addition, we walked around on the drying shell bank to admire the seabed and see beautiful shells and some crabs. In short, Ameland is an island that has a lot to offer!
